Lesson for the week of December 4th, 2022

He’s Here!!

The Nativity from Luke 1-2

READ THE STORY:

The Nativity from Luke 1-2

By the way, if you don’t have a Jesus Storybook Bible, we can help…email: erin.finke@westwoodstcloud.org

WATCH THE STORY:

Everything was ready. The moment God had been waiting for was here at last! God was coming to help his people, just as he promised in the beginning. Mary and Joseph named him Jesus, “Emmanuel”~which means “God has come to live with us.” Because, of course, he had.

This is so important to remember and not just at Christmastime!

As you read today’s verse (Luke 2:11 – see below) out loud together explain that “Messiah” is the Hebrew word that means Christ and refers to the King; it is another name for Jesus.

You will see the Christmas character cards and instructions in the room use these as you talk and read the story to the kids.

TODAY’S VERSE:

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

(Luke 2:11)

Pray aloud:

Pray aloud with the children, thanking God for the birth of Jesus and that he came to live with us. Ask the children to pray, thanking God for Jesus’ birth.
