We’re glad you’re here.
Welcome to Westwood! Would you take a moment to let us know you are here on the connect card. We also invite you to share prayer requests. If you would like to make Westwood your church home and receive weekly eNews and praise/prayer reports, let us know through the connect card or email email@example.com.
Once a month through August, we will take a break from our Ephesians sermon series to bring you stories of transformation right from people sitting near you. For resources on today’s topic, please visit here.
Child and student opportunities.
Our KidCity programming takes place just down the hall from our auditorium. Cared for by friendly staff and screened volunteers, our Downtown classrooms are perfect for infants through age 5 and our Uptown classes are fun and engaging for those in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. For more information, check out our Families page. We also have a convenient family room located off the main lobby where you can take in the service in the event your child needs to get the wiggles out. We are currently asking KidCity attenders to RSVP to help with planning purposes and plan to do this through May. You can RSVP on our main website, or at the KidCity page.
Our student ministry meets on Wednesday nights at Westwood Church. Grades 5-12 are welcome for live worship, relevant teaching, fun games, and of course, food.
Middle School meets from 6:30-8:30pm while High School meets from 7-9pm. No need to preregister, simply enter at doors 1-2.
Student Ministries Plant Sale.
Spruce up your yard by attending our Student Ministries plant sale on Saturday, May 22 from 8-4pm and Sunday, May 23 from 10-1pm. Plenty of perennials and succulents available! Funds raised will go towards the High School Adventure Camp this summer.
There will be an opportunity to purchase early by buying a gift certificate on May 16 in the lobby. You will then be invited to pick your plants up early on Friday, May 21 from 6-7pm.
We will be having a congregational meeting on May 23 following second service. All are welcome to attend! Westwood members will be voting on incoming officers, approving the budget and affirming new members. Budget available by clicking here. Nominated officers can be found here. If you have any questions about the budget, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. An overseer or pastor would be happy to meet with you!
Tutor at Stride Academy.
We have an opportunity to serve at Stride Academy this summer as they work with kids to catch up academically after a difficult year. They will be offering summer school Tuesdays-Fridays starting June 8 through July 22 and would like volunteers to serve a minimum of one hour per week—more as desired!—to help with reading and other school work. Training is available! Please contact Robyn Hennen at email@example.com for more information or to sign up!

June 15-17 | Westwood Church | 5-8pm
Summer is coming! Kids in grades K-4 are invited to join us for three days of fun at Westwood on June 15-17 from 5-8pm. The cost is $30 and includes dinner each evening. We will keep young minds active, engaged, and creating, while learning about our identity in Christ. Our memory verse of Psalm 139:14 “I am fearfully and wonderfully made!” will help kids focus on a special aspect of what our identity becomes when we trust Jesus. To sign up, visit the Families page on our website or watch our Facebook page.
As a bonus, we will also have parent opportunities this week! Stay tuned for more information!
Students Summer Fun.
Middle School Students (grades 5-7) are invited to Stomp Out Hunger on July 12-15. High School Students (grades 8-12) will travel through the Black Hills and head to Denver, Colorado while camping, hiking, rafting and learning what it means to follow Jesus on July 18-24.
